Our Mandate and Philosophy

Living Waters Canada is an extension of Living Waters Publications in association with evangelist Ray Comfort. The teachings and philosophies used to fulfill our mission are simply derived from biblical truths and principles that when put into practice are most effective. The primary Mandate of Living Waters Canada is to assist the church in motivating and mobilizing Christians with productive hands-on evangelism, helping Christians to become effective laborers and soul winners in the harvest field on an individual scale. This is accomplished through teaching biblical evangelism and equipping the saints with effective tools that will give them courage on the battlefield. Training Christians for effective soul-winning is a task which involves the removal of ideologies that have resulted in unbiblical, man-centered philosophies and mindsets concerning evangelism. There are many hindrances that stifle the Christian’s response to the great commission. The teachings of Ray Comfort are designed to systematically extinguish all of these hindrances and leave Christians in a place of recognizing their duty and potential in the light of scripture. The results are a new found confidence to share ones faith, an undying courage in the harvest field, and an overwhelming concern for the lost.

History of Living Waters Canada

In September 2001 The Westend Church gave its full support to the launching of Living Waters Canada! This ministry would serve as an extension of evangelist Ray Comfort to the entire Nation of Canada. The ministry operates under the spiritual and financial oversight of The Westend Church. The vision for a Canadian distributorship was perpetuated by Pastor Chris Curry with the full endorsement of Pastor Syd and unanimous support of The Westend Church board. The vision came as a result of 5 years of extensive involvement in evangelism with the exclusive use of Ray Comfort’s extremely effective and innovative resources. In June of 2001 we approached Ray Comfort with the idea of a potential Canadian distribution office which would serve as an extension of Living Waters Publications. Without hesitation, Ray said, “That would be a tremendous blessing!” Over the course of the next 3 months Ray and I established all of the procedures and agreements as to how it would operate. Because of his authentic desire to see the gospel furthered, Ray not only encouraged the launching of the ministry, but agreed to grant us the complete unrestricted rights to print all of his tracts and permission to duplicate all his teaching material for resale. In July of 2001 we visited Ray Comfort at the home base of Living Waters Publications in California to discuss the launching of this ministry and as a means of showing our commitment to it. We were warmly greeted and Ray showed his support and commitment to the establishing of a Canadian office by supplying us with several box loads of material to help us get started! Praise the Lord! Less than 2 months later the ministry became a reality and was in full motion. The Web site went into operation immediately and all Canadian customers were given the option and privilege of purchasing Living Waters products in Canada. We have received countless words of support and encouragement from customers all over Canada who are extremely pleased with the new convenience of purchasing their materials in Canada. This arrangement has also alleviated many complexities for Canadian customers, making the process of ordering easier, including more efficient shipping service, lower costs, and not having to deal with customs. The inception of the ministry involved the coming together of numerous aspects necessary to operate effectively. It seemed as though the Lord caused everything to fall into place with ease, but not without a valiant effort. With much thanks to the board and Pastor of TWC, the gracious support of Ray Comfort, and all the Glory to Jesus… Living Waters Canada is established and on its way to seeing this nation changed!
